Great entry level

So I bought this looking to use it mainly for its feature for webcam use and while playing around with the settings realised how much more potential it has for such an entry level camera, it give you the ability to either point and shoot with the standard settings for delve a bit deeper into controlling a lot of the features that would influence a photo or video, highly reccomended!

Canon PowerShot SX70 HS Review

The Canon PowerShot SX70 HS ($549.99) is a compelling argument for why bridge cameras still exist, and, for the right photographer, make a lot of sense. It makes some minor changes from the previous generation SX60 HS, keeping the same lens, but adding a higher-resolution image sensor, 4K video, and a much better viewfinder. It's a solid option for smartphone users who crave zoom power, and for SLR owners looking for a lighter camera to grab when on the go. As with the SX60 HS that came before it, the SX70 HS earns our Editors' Choice award. From Ultra-Wide to Extreme Telephoto The SX70 HS ($599.99 at Amazon) doesn't stray from the standard bridge camera blueprint. It's smaller than an SLR, but shaped like one. It boasts an ample handgrip, plenty of physical controls, and an understated matte black finish. The camera measures 3.6 by 4.6 by 5.0 inches (HWD) and weighs about 1.3 pounds when loaded with a battery and card and ready to shoot. Similar Products ...

The Canon PowerShot SX70 HS captures views ranging from ultra-wide to extreme telephoto. It's a solid camera for wildlife observers, families, and shutterbugs in search of a lightweight bridge model.

65x zoom lens; Vari-angle LCD; Excellent EVF; 10fps bursts; Raw image capture; 4K video with mic input; Wi-Fi; Strong ergonomics

Not great in dim light; Omits accessory shoe and 24fps video; 4K not available in all modes; Not a good choice for fast action

Canon PowerShot SX70 HS Digital Camera - BRAND NEW review

I bought this camera three weeks ago and just love the zoom even fully extended clear and sharp pictures . plenty instructional videos on line make it easy to master all the settings if needed. But just the auto settings give beautiful and sharp pictures wow.

Canon PowerShot SX70 HS Digital Camera - BRAND NEW review

The Canon PowerShot SX70 HS is good for sport and wildlife photography. It has a good continuous shooting speed and a relatively quick buffer empty time, so you can capture moments of fast-moving action with minimal interruption.

Incredibly long focal length., Lightweight and comfortable to use., Excellent image stabilization., Good shooting speed.

Image quality degrades in low light., No touchscreen., Bulky size.

Canon PowerShot SX70 HS Digital Camera - Brand New review

The battery can last up to approximately 295 shots. It also has many different settings such as the eco-mode, which can save the battery too. The five-stops image stabilization functionality reduces the chances of image blurring even when shooting handheld.

Zoom option is quite powerful, The built-in Wi-Fi ensures ease of wireless sharing of images and videos., It is among the compact cameras on our list and easy to carry, The image stabilization system ensures a smooth performance when using longer focal lengths

With a weight of 4.24 pounds it cannot be counted among the compact cameras, The touchscreen is not available in this model

Canon PowerShot SX70 HS Digital Camera - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present
